The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) announced its commencement of status reviews for the southern population of bog turtle and the Pedernales River Springs salamander to determine whether petitioned Endangered Species Act protections are warranted. FWS will consider any relevant information it receives during its review.
