FWS Reopens Public Comment Period on Potential Removal of Ivory-Billed Woodpecker from List of Endangered and Threatened Species

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced a six-month extension for its consideration of whether to remove the ivory-billed woodpecker from the list of endangered and threatened species. FWS has reopened the comment period and will accept input from the public through August 8, 2022.
