U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Seeks Public Input on Habitat Conservation Plan for Rare Frogs and Turtles

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) announced the availability of a draft habitat conservation plan for activities associated with an incidental take permit application, which would authorize the harm and harassment of California red-legged frogs and southwestern pond turtles incidental to operations, maintenance, and closure of a Santa Barbara County landfill. FWS will accept public comments on the habitat conservation plan through May 9, 2022.
