Conservation Group Sues EPA over Approval of Increased Heavy Metal Exposure that Jeopardizes Imperiled Species

The Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) filed an Endangered Species Act lawsuit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), alleging that the EPA disregarded warnings from the National Marine Fisheries Service and failed to assess harms to endangered species of turtles and fish before nearly tripling levels of cadmium pollution allowed in U.S. waters. CBD is seeking declaratory and injunctive relief.
