Department of Commerce Imposes Sanctions on Luxury Goods, Including Animal Products, Bound for Russia, Belarus, or their Oligarchs

In response to the invasion of Ukraine, the Department of Commerce announced restrictions on the export, re-export, or transfer of luxury goods to Russia, Belarus, or affiliated oligarchs wherever they are located in the world. The list of sanctioned luxury goods includes products made from real or artificial furs, leather, silk, and wool. The prohibition is effective March 11, 2022.
