USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service Proposes Regulatory Change Relating to Condemnation of Disease-Afflicted Poultry

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that it is proposing to amend the poultry products inspection regulations to rescind several regulations related to the inspection and condemnation of poultry carcasses affected with any form of avian leukosis complex, a group of leukemia-like diseases. FSIS is accepting public comments through May 13, 2022.
