Rhode Island House Bill 7439 would prohibit all captive hunting and the import of animals into Rhode Island for the purpose of canned hunting, but would still allow the release of certain game birds for hunting on licensed shooting preserves. The bill has been referred to the House Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.
