The National Marine Fisheries Service announced an emergency temporary rule to prohibit directed fishing for Atka mackerel in the Bering Sea in order to prevent fishers from exceeding the 2021 annual catch limit. The prohibition is effective from November 24, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
