Mountaire Farms reached a class action settlement agreement for $205 million in a case alleging the company’s chicken processing facility contaminated local land, air, and groundwater impacting the health and property of several hundred plaintiffs. The settlement includes $65 million in payments to residents and $140 million in facility upgrades to prevent future violations.
