Alabama Considers Restrictions on Dog Tethering

Alabama House Bill 551 would impose restrictions on the tethering of dogs, including tethering an animal from 10pm to 5am, during certain storms, unsheltered in temperatures under 32 degrees, or in a choke collar. The bill additionally would require tethered dogs to have “access to food, water, and proper shelter that has a roof and sides to protect the dog from the elements.”
