The Center for Food Safety sent a letter to the Food and Drug Administration arguing that the retail sale of Impossible “beef” in grocery stores is unlawful because its previous objections to FDA’s approval of Impossible Foods’ color additive petition should have stayed the approval’s effective date. The organization asked the agency to issue a recall notice for the food.
