Description

New York Supreme Court Judge Erika M. Edwards denied Tyson Foods Inc.’s (Tyson) motion to quash a New York Attorney General subpoena connected to an investigation into alleged meat product price gouging during the COVID-19 pandemic. Judge Edwards stated that the attorney general has “broad power to investigate price gouging” under New York laws and found that Tyson failed to show that the documents sought by the attorney general were irrelevant to the inquiry or that their production would be futile.
