Description

Several dozen federal lawmakers sent correspondence to Secretary of the Interior Debra Haaland to support and strengthen a draft rule the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has proposed to prioritize ecosystem health and conservation across millions of acres of federal lands. The lawmakers said the “long-overdue” draft rule gives the BLM tools to make public lands more resilient to climate change and biodiversity loss, conserve habitat and landscapes, better plan development, and recognize cultural and natural resources.
