The Red Wolf Coalition, Defenders of Wildlife, and Animal Welfare Institute have filed suit against the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, alleging that the Service’s policy barring release of captive red wolves puts the continued existence of the wild population at risk. Plaintiffs argue these actions violated the Endangered Species Act and the Administrative Procedure Act.
