Caribbean Animal Welfare Conference
Over the years, Caribbean Animal Welfare Conferences have been held with the aim of improving the lives of animals in the Caribbean and Central America. Our last conference was in 2015. Five years later we have the opportunity to assess our progress, examine emerging issues, and look toward the future of animal welfare in the Caribbean.
The conference will bring together individuals, government officials, and organizations interested in improving the welfare of Caribbean animals for three days of intensive learning, sharing and networking. The conference sessions will address topics ranging from population management to disaster preparedness, wildlife rehabilitation, and emerging issues in the region. Presentations and discussions will enhance our understanding and reinforce the importance of animal welfare and protection issues for feral populations, community animals and wildlife. Most importantly, CAWC offers participants a way to stay connected with international, regional and local organizations working on similar issues across the Caribbean. Share your stories. Learn practical strategies and approaches you can use.
