The Brooks Institute facilitated the inaugural Brooks Annual Workshop for Scholars, June 2021. The goal of the annual workshop is to advance scholarship and scholarly community in the area of animal law and policy. The workshop provided scholars an opportunity to engage with one another’s work in the hopes of improving the ultimate publishable work(s). There were no formal presentations by authors, but rather feedback by commentators. Nearly 20 participants read and engaged with 6 drafts of other scholars, while maintaining a collegial environment that facilitated future collaborations and professional relationships.
