The Montreal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) staff rescued twenty-one cats and kittens who were locked in a storage locker. The cats were found in unsanitary conditions, with no food, water, bedding, or basic care. Police arrived after a 911 call was made. They were assisted by the SPCA in collecting the cats and bringing them to a veterinarian facility for treatment. Police state that all the cats are healthy. No one was at the storage facility when the cats were found; however, there is an open investigation into whether charges will be laid. Read more here and here.
