Following recent media attention and complaints about companion dogs being held due to suspicions of contravening the provincial pit bull ban, a spokesperson for the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced that Ontario is now allowing companion dogs to be released to their families while waiting for the results of breed testing.
