Florida Bill Would Authorize Veterinary Telemedicine and Administration of Rabies Vaccines by Non-Veterinarians

Florida Senate Bill 1040 would authorize licensed veterinarians to practice veterinary telehealth, including for certain animals used in agricultural operations. The bill also would authorize certain individuals to administer rabies vaccines under the indirect supervision of a veterinarian. The bill was referred to the Senate Regulated Industries, Agriculture, and Rules Committees.
