Bill Would Amend the AWA by Authorizing the USDA to Assist Shelters with Microchipping

House Resolution 3709 would amend the federal Animal Welfare Act (AWA) by directing the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to enter into cooperative agreements to support the microchipping of dogs and cats in the care of animal shelters.
