Arkansas Bill Would Exempt Certain Retailers from the Egg Marketing Act

Arkansas House Bill 1788 would amend the Arkansas Egg Marketing Act by prohibiting retailers from repackaging eggs and by exempting retailers who have purchased from producers that have seven hundred or fewer hens. The bill has been referred to the House Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, & Economic Development and the Committee returned the bill with a “do pass” recommendation on April 3, 2023.
