Kansas Bill Would Establish Division of Animal Facilities Inspections

Kansas Senate Bill 498 would transfer the existing animal facilities inspection program for the oversight of retail pet stores, research facilities, and boarding facilities from the animal health commissioner to the Kansas Secretary of Agriculture. The bill has been referred to the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources.
