USDA Seeks Input from Poultry Producers on Salmonella Pilot Project

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is inviting poultry slaughter and processing plants to submit proposals for pilot projects that will test different control strategies for salmonella contamination. FSIS will use the data collected in order to determine whether it will seek to update existing protocols. At this time, the agency only is accepting input from FSIS-inspected poultry plants.
