Animals Who Work

Examines currently available scientific evidence concerning the impacts on animals in therapeutic settings, with a particular emphasis on the implications for the animals and what guidelines need to be put into practice to ensure their welfare.

This collection, while putting animals and their welfare and rights at the center of the analysis, examines the questions inherent in putting animals to work, including whether animal labor is inherently oppressive, or can, in certain circumstances, be to their benefit.
