The Audubon Society of Portland, Cascadia Wildlands, Center for Biological Diversity, Conservation Northwest, Environmental Protection Information Center, Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center, Oregon Wild, Sierra Club, and the Wilderness Society have filed suit against the Fish and Wildlife Service alleging the agency’s elimination of over 3 million acres of designated critical habitat for the threatened northern spotted owl violates both the Administrative Procedure Act and the Endangered Species Act itself.
