State of Arizona Executive Order: Securing Arizona's Southern Border

File
Description

The Center for Biological Diversity commenced the Endangered Species Act citizen suit process against Arizona Governor Douglas Ducey’s administration by delivering a notice of intent to sue in connection with Arizona’s plans to obstruct a critical jaguar and ocelot migration corridor with shipping containers along the U.S.-Mexico border. The U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation already has demanded that Arizona remove shipping containers that constitute “a violation of federal law” and “a trespass against the United States” following Governor Ducey’s executive order to “close the gaps in Arizona’s southern border wall, regardless of location.”
