Workshop with Professor Kathy Hessler - Aquatic Animals in Research: Framing the Conversation

Please join us for a work-in-progress workshop with Professor Kathy Hessler. This event is an AALS Animal Law Section Scholarship Circle workshop. Professor Hessler's working title is Aquatic Animals in Research: Framing the Conversation. It is a chapter in the first book dedicated to aquatic animal law!

We anticipate a format that includes a presentation by Professor Hessler for about 25-30 minutes, followed by comments, questions, and discussion. A draft will be circulated 10 days in advance of the workshop.

The AALS Animal Law Section Scholarship Circle is designed for the presentation and discussion of animal law-related works-in-progress by academics at any stage of their careers. The name Scholarship Circle is intended to invoke the idea of quilting circles through which quilters would enjoy the fellowship of working together in support of their shared goals. Current co-organizers are Professors Taimie Bryant and Rick Cupp. The Scholarship Circle is maintained by the Executive Committee of the AALS Animal Law Section. In another emailing, we will provide information about contacting us about your possible interest in presenting a work you have in progress.

To register for this event, please contact Taimie Bryant through use of this form. This will ensure your receipt of the Zoom link and the draft. Professor Bryant is the host for this session, which will be anchored by the UCLA Law Zoom platform. Questions about the event may be addressed to her: bryant@law.ucla.edu.
