Haywards Heath, a West Sussex town, endorsed the Plant Based Treaty, and will encourage its 34,000 residents to eat vegan foods to combat climate change. Haywards Heath is the first European town to endorse the Treaty, joining seventeen municipal governments worldwide, most others located in India. No Canadian city has endorsed the Treaty.
