The Animal Care Review Board dismissed an appeal challenging the removal of forty-five exotic and domesticated animals from Bervie Zoological Park in Kincardine, Ontario. John Geddes, operator of the Park, argued that Notice of Removal was not in accordance with the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act. Board Member Mindy Caterina found that the series of six inspections between August 2021 and April 2022 which resulted in findings of distress supported removal of the animals, and that the Notice was issued in accordance with the Act.
