Three new initiatives are receiving $3 million from the federal and Ontario government to enhance biosecurity and support African Swine Fever (ASF) prevention and emergency preparedness. As ASF has been detected in the Caribbean, where many of Canada’s temporary foreign workers come from, the investment hopes to proactively protect Ontario pigs from contracting and spreading ASF.
