Canada Proposes Amendments to Migratory Birds Regulations

The Government of Canada has issued a Notice of Intent to amend the Migratory Birds Regulations, 2022, focusing on changing hunting season dates, setting daily bag and possession limits, and making other related modifications for certain migratory game birds in the 2024–2026 hunting seasons. Additionally, Environment and Climate Change Canada is considering the introduction of a Sandhill Crane hunting season in Ontario and Quebec for the 2026–2027 hunting season. Interested parties who wish to comment on the proposed regulatory amendments can submit their comments by February 12, 2024.
