Aleph Farms Receives World's First Regulatory Approval for Cultivated Beef

Israel's Ministry of Health has granted regulatory approval to Aleph Farms for Aleph Cuts, the “world's first” cultivated beef steaks, marking a breakthrough for non-chicken cultivated meat globally. This approval is also the first for cultivated meat in the Middle East. Aleph Farms prioritized beef due to environmental concerns and its market value. The company's CEO, Didier Toubia, sees this approval as vital for addressing food security challenges globally. The first Aleph Cut, the Petit Steak, is derived from cells of a cow named Lucy, who lived on a farm in California.
